Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) was constituted on August 16, 1949 as a result of an ordinance, which sought abolition of Public service Commissions (PSCs) or other institutions performing similar tasks in the other states. The main aim behind the establishment of commission was to recruit candidates to the various services in the state.
The commission is regulated by Rajasthan Public Service Commission Rules & Regulation, 1963, and consists of one chairman and 5 other members (including one secretary), appointed by the state’s chief minister to look after the various functions and activities of the commission.
